Award Winning Social Media Marketing
At RWD, our main focus is ensuring our clients rank on Google. We use a number of techniques to do this, including SEO and content writing, but social media platforms are becoming an increasingly important factor. Maintaining an active social media following takes time and experience, and our clients trust our knowledgeable team to deliver award-winning social media marketing.
Coda Plastics: Top 15 Tweeters of Packaging Innovations 2016
Our client Coda Plastics is a UK plastics manufacturer who works with national and international companies. The company often attends trade and networking events to stay up-to-date with the rest of the industry and promote their latest products. In the run-up to Packaging Innovations 2016, the UK’s biggest trade fair for the packaging industry, our team took the opportunity to promote Coda Plastics via a focused social media campaign.
Packaging Innovations 2016 had a strong and vibrant Twitter community of plastics and packaging businesses, and we worked to make Coda Plastics a part of it. We used the event hashtags #PACK2016 and #PACKGEEK, retweeted industry leaders attending the event and promoted Coda Plastics blogs.
Our work achieved great results. During February, the month that Packaging Innovations 2016 fell, Coda Plastics’ tweets were seen over 15,500 times. The ODM Group calculated the 25 top tweeters of Packaging Innovations 2016, and @CodaPlastics was one of the top 15. Considering that the event was attended by hundreds of companies, including a number of big brands, this was exceptionally impressive.
Tiles Away: Retailer Hero of the Year
The UK’s first National Tile Week kicked off on Monday 11th April, sponsored by British Ceramic Tile (BCT). Our client Tiles Away was keen to get involved. As an independent tile retailer, Tiles Away’s major competition comes from national chains. BCT was running a major digital campaign for National Tile Week, and we recognised this was a great opportunity to promote Tiles Away at a national level.
Throughout the week, we ran a focused social media campaign. We wrote a promotional blog, used the event hashtag #NationalTileWeek, retweeted British Ceramic Tile and other retailers involved with the event, and shared some of the inspiring blogs we’ve written for Tiles Away.
The results were excellent. During National Tile Week, Tiles Away’s Facebook posts were seen 718 times and engagement rose to 14%. Meanwhile, their tweets were seen over 5,300 times and they gained 50 new Twitter followers. At the end of National Tile Week, BCT crowned Tiles Away their Retailer Hero of 2016 for their outstanding contributions across social media.
Jayne Adamson, marketing manager for British Ceramic Tile, said:
“Tiles Away were crowned our Retailer Hero of the Year as they were so actively involved in National Tile Week. They were behind us every step of the way, shouting the word to their customers via social media, offering hints and tips to those looking to buy tiles and sharing the British Ceramic Tile assets in-store and online to help educate their customers about tiles. A really well deserved reward for all your hard work, thank you Tiles Away.”
