Introducing Daisy: our new Blogger and Social Media Manager

A few weeks ago, we started looking for a new team member – and we found one. One applicant stood out above the rest, and we’re delighted that she accepted our offer. Daisy’s role will include blogging, content writing, blog strategy and helping us to dramatically improve the social media side of the service that we offer to all our package clients.

Daisy joined the team on 1st September, and since then she’s been busy writing blogs for various clients, helping us to develop social media campaign strategies, and offering tea on a regular basis. Despite initially struggling with her office chair, she’s settling in and over the coming months will take on more new tasks, including content and copy writing, talking to clients and managing social media profiles.

“I think it’s really cool that I blog as a job,” says Daisy, “Although I don’t think my grandparents are that sure what it is I do.”

Daisy graduated in July from her degree in English Literature and Creative Writing at the University of East Anglia, but couldn’t bear to leave Norwich behind – or move back in with her parents. She spent the summer on a twelve-week internship at a local publishing house, where her responsibilities included researching and writing articles for international publications, managing a number of social media profiles, and making everyone tea. Although she enjoyed her stint as an Editorial Assistant, Daisy is a self-convinced social media addict who sees her smartphone as an extension of her own body, so she jumped at the chance to be a full-time Blogger and Social Media Manager at RWD.

“I’m really happy to be here,” says Daisy, “Everyone is so nice. They keep asking if I’d like tea. It’s strange but it’s exciting.”

We’re a small, close-knit team at RWD, and we’re very pleased to welcome our new recruit. With plans lined up to expand our service, it’s an exciting time for us, and we look forward to bringing you more details about this in the near future.
